About the Seminar's Presenters

Having once escaped a stint of deep poverty through the pursuit of education, Pamela M. Covington is zealous about encouraging others towards achieving their greater potential rather than adopting a sense of futility, even in the most troubled of times. Her presentation topics include motivation, self-esteem, welfare independence, advocacy, literacy, and education.

With compassion, energy and humor, she inspires audiences by sharing stories, often related to her welfare struggle–and triumph, while offering practical personal strategies to help them move beyond their challenges.

Pamela’s book, A Day at the Fare: One Woman’s Welfare Passage, portrays that harrowing period of her life. Today she holds two masters degrees.

In her "spare" time she takes road trips, walks beaches, spins copious amounts of music, enjoys learning about various cultures, and collects books. Lots of books.

Bringing the True You to Life (TM)

Empowerment expert, transformational trainer, and whole-being, well-being whiz, Liz Garrett, is a cheerleader and guide for True You. Your dreams, your gifts, your voice MATTER. If you don't bring True You to life, who will?

Liz learned the hard way. She ignored her inner voice until, at age 35, a series of crises landed her in full-bore burnout. Her book, The Opposite of Burnout: 5 Career Strategies to Feel Valued, Be Heard, and Make a Difference, is to help you avoid that fate by creating a meaningful, sustainable and lucrative career that keeps your inner fire burning bright.

These days, she enjoys the unfathomable beauty of sunrises over the water, nesting with good books and tea, and the surprising capacity for good in most people.
